With a peak capacity of only 13.5kW, the concentrating PV (CPV) module that will be floated out and wired into a Tata Power hydropower dam near Mumbai, India, this year may look like small beer. Yet the potential of Australian company Sunengy's Liquid Solar Array (LSA) concept is vast: the technology is seen as eventually making it possible to ramp up production from the world's large hydro plants by hundreds of gigawatts.
