AGL halts development on projects worth $2bn
Australia's largest power distributor, AGL E n ergy, will halt development of wind projects worth A$2bn ($2bn) and not build anynew wind farms for at least three years after buying up renewable-energy certificates (RECs) at cheap prices instead. Wind farms to be put on hold include the 300MW Coopers Gap project in Queensland, the 150MW Barn Hill wind farm and the 99MW Hallett 3 project.
