BRISTOL: UK tidal-power developer Marine Current Turbines (MCT)and partner RWE Npower Renewables have submitted a consent application to build Wales' first tidal farm, a 10MW array of in-stream turbines, in 2015.. The £70m ($112m) development off the northwest coast of Anglesey will feature seven of MCT's 1.2MW twin-rotor SeaGen devices. Production is expected to meet the electricity needs of 10,000 homes.
