The Australian firm will use Imparator Enerji as the Turkish licensee for its thermodynamic Kalina Cycle technology and plans to develop projects in conjunction with local partners.

Kalina Cycle is claimed to convert the same amount of heat into up to 50% more electricity than existing methods by mixing water with ammonia to produce high-pressure steam.

Wasabi has already licensed the system to a number of companies, including German industrial giant Siemens, Shanghai Shenge New Energy in China and Sumitomo Metal Industries in Japan.
