As reported earlier by Recharge, SAIC will provide a $27m loan to USG Nevada that will cover first phase construction costs. The San Emidio project will be built in two stages.
Phase one consists of relocation and replacement of an existing power plant. No drilling is required since the new plant will utilize production and injection wells currently in use by the existing plant.
