The proposed 10.3 mile line and substation will link Neal Hot Springs in Oregon, which borders Idaho, with the utility’s transmission grid. The estimated construction cost is $3.2m and the line will have 36MW of transmission capacity, according to US Geothermal.
Idaho Power is responsible for the design, engineering, right-of-way acquisition and construction of the new line and its associated facilities.
