The A$7m funding, from the department of resources, energy and tourism, will be available for proof-of-concept drilling for its Parachilna Geothermal Play project in South Australia, under a round two drilling programme.
Since 2007, the Parachilna project has undergone drilling, sampling and seismic, proving that the geothermal site could be a substantial on-grid geothermal field to be established north of Port Augusta, according to Torrens Energy.
