India’s largely untapped geothermal energy sources have the potential to produce 10.6GW of power – five times greater than the combined power produced from other renewable sources, according to the Indian Institute of Technology.
Tata Power is already a leading private wind generation company with an installed capacity of 200MW, which spreads across three states - Maharashtra with 100MW, Gujarat with 50MW and Karnataka with 50MW.
