President Barack Obama in late May announced DOE will allocate $350mn from the March economic stimulus bill, formally known as the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, to new investments in geothermal power.
Officials say the company intends to pursue DOE money for several projects including Reese River in Nevada under the Geothermal Technologies Program, which has a $5mn funding ceiling per application.
