Philippine firms see progress on 20MW geothermal project

PetroGreen Energy Resources, Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development, and Philippine National Oil Company – Renewables Corporation (PNOC-RC) incorporated Maibarara Geothermal (MGI) to develop the project.

MGI will steer the geothermal project into the implementation phase, following the acquisition of an environment compliance certificate by the partners.

The Maibarara steamfield is scheduled for completion by the second-half of 2013, according to a disclosure by Trans-Asia to the Philippine Stock Exchange.
