Dahlan Iskan, managing director of PLN, says the domestic price of geothermal electricity is at $0.97 per kilowatt hour (kWh), surpassing the selling price to the general public.
“If PLN buys geothermal at a price of $0.97, while the selling price could only be $0.67, it will be difficult and expensive. Meanwhile they demand us to build cheap fuel-powered plants,” Iskan says.
