The country’s biggest producer of geothermal energy plans to develop geothermal facilities that could generate up to 230MW within its existing operating areas, according to EDC president Richard Tantoco.
EDC currently has about 1.2GW capacity in geothermal energy, accounting for about 60% of the country’s total installed capacity of 2GW.
On top of the $1bn, the company may also spend 20.6bn pesos ($452.4m)
