Cornwall County Council has rubber-stamped the company’s application to drill a trio of wells at the United Downs industrial estate, near Redruth.
Approval has also been given for a geothermal power plant at the site that will produce 10MW of electricity that will flow on the National Grid and 55MW of renewable heat energy which could be used for the local community.
