A consortium spokeswoman tells Recharge that "ongoing lack of clarity in support for renewables had been a factor" in the decision to cease developing a further £3bn-4bn ($4.65bn-6.2bn)phase of the £12bn-16bn development.
"We will be stopping work on the 2.4GW next phase, known at Dogger Bank Teesside C & D, so we can focus our efforts on the four already consented Dogger Bank projects,” she said.
