The announcement was made by Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling in his pre-budget report. The move means that all projects accredited between up until March 2014 will receive 2 ROCs per MW/h of energy produced. When the government first announced the increase from 1.5 ROCS to 2 ROCS in April, the measure was to have applied only to projects reaching financial closure in the 2009/2010 fiscal year, before falling back to 1.75
UK government extends ROC window for offshore projects
The UK government has extended the time window for increased renewable obligation certificate (ROC) support for offshore wind projects until March 2014 in a bid to reach its ambitious targets for the sector.
