Siemens took a heavy write-down at its Wind Power unit – which nevertheless remained profitable – and reported losses for both its defunct Solar unit and its Power Transmission unit.
With its Fossil Power Generation unit also posting a steep decline in profitability, total profits at Siemens's Energy division (€430m) fell below its Healthcare division (€499m), in a significant shift for the company.
