Built around a fine-tuned version of the drive-train and nacelle of the V112-3.0, which has established a global installed base of over 1.5GW since its launch in 2010, the new “variants” – the V112-3.3, V117-3.3 and V126-3.3 – are designed to cast the company’s net more widely over sites with a broader range of wind speeds and terrains.

Vestas has locked up 100MW in orders for the three machines so far.
