Between them, the major-component test centre in Brande andthe blade facility in Aalborg comprise the biggest wind technology R&D hubin the world, Siemens claims.
The Brande centre is geared up to test components includinggenerators, main bearings and complete nacelles.
The seven test stands in Aalborg can fully-trial Siemens'75-metre-long B75 blade, and will be able to cope with even longer structures.
"Our investments in testing today will result in savingsfor our customers tomorrow,” said Felix Ferlemann, CEO of Siemens Wind Power.
