Kaeser – aged 56 and a long-serving Siemens executive – is seen as a safe pair of hands at the German behemoth, which is among the world’s leading wind turbine producers and a key player in Germany's offshore wind ambitions.
Christian Stadler of the UK’s Warwick Business School, who has studied Siemens, said of the new CEO: “He has been with Siemens for 33 years and has the necessary networks.
