The funding, aimed at “innovative fundamental research projects” in the fields ofalternative energy and sustainability, builds on a five-year partnership between the twoorganisations.
“ETH Zurich haslong been conducting research in various areas of the energy sector, includingrenewable-energy technologies, energy conversion system regulation, networksand their stability and power electronics,” says ETH president Ralph Eichler.“Alstom’s support will help us to initiate further research projects morequickly.”
