After the Department of Energy and Climate Change announced in October that its Renewables Obligation Certificate (ROC) scheme will no longer apply to PV developments above 5MW, projects have been postponed to the end of this year and early 2015, according to analysts at IHS.

Having revised earlier predictions, they now expect this year's installations to total 2.8GW.

The analysts also calculate that between now and when the ROC scheme ends in March 2015, utility- scale installations will reach nearly 1.8GW.
