The array is being developed by US-based Sustainable Power Group (sPower) and Britain's Camborne Capital, which have been jointly developing and acquiring utility-scale PV facilities in the UK since the middle of the year.
The 105,560 panels will be installed in time to meet the end of March deadline for support under the Renewables Obligation scheme. After that, the scheme will no longer apply to PV projects larger than 5MW.
