SEAT, part of the German Volkswagen group, spent €35m($47m) on the 12MW SEAT al Sol project at its Martorell plant in Spain.
German PV group Gestamp Solar acted asco-developer with SEAT and installed 53,000 modules at the plant near Barcelona,in a project that started in mid-2010.
