KSU’sPoint Focus Fresnel Collector (PFFC) technology uses flat, square reflectors“closely packed” on a rotating surface to focus sunlight throughout the dayonto a receiving tube to power a generator.
The design has been shown to have aconversion efficiency of 70-75% at 400°C, making its economics comparable tothat of conventional parabolic trough collectors.
