Rioglass Solar – which claims to be the world’s biggestsupplier of CSP mirrors – will acquire receiver technology and associated manufacturingassets from Siemens.
The sale follows Siemens' decision in October 2012 to exitthe solar industry and seek buyers for its various interests in the sector.
That search was largely unsuccessful and in June Siemensannounced that it would close down the rump of its loss-making solar divisionafter an ill-starred foray into the sector.
