Komax Solar, which makes a variety of module-assembly kit for PV manufacturers, including stringer, lay-up systems and laminators, will be sold to a “viable third party”, according to the Komax Group.
The profit-making parent company suggests that it is not in a position to make the necessary investments into Komax Solar to keep the unit competitive in the years ahead.
Komax Solar has seen significant job losses in recent years, as formerly big-spending PV manufacturers reined in hard on their capacity expansion plans.
