The analyst also forecasts growing demand in the fledgling solar storage market.
Amid continuing cost reductions, IHS predicts that global PV installations will grow at 16-25%, with installations in the range of 53-57GW this year.
"All signs point to a strengthening recovery of the solar industry in 2015, even if the recovery itself remains incredibly fragile," says Ash Sharma, senior research director for solar at IHS.
