The degression will take effect after new installations continued to run above a government-set target corridor of 2.5GW-3.5GW of new capacity annually.
“Although new installations have slowed down somewhat toward year-end, the legally envisaged corridor (…) in the period again has been exceeded clearly,” said Jochen Homann, president of the Federal Network Agency.
The high level of installations for most of last year prompted a change in legislation that provides for a faster degression of FITs than previously.
