Chinese companies which sign onto the agreement will be allowed to export a certain amount of panels into the EU at a minimum price, to be adjusted according to prevailing market conditions.
Shipments beyond the export threshold, and manufacturers who do not sign onto the agreement, will be subject to a tariff.
The Commission did not immediately release the final figures included in the deal, although various news reports put the export cap at 7GW per year and a minimum price of €0.56
