Shareholders will meet in Rome on Monday to decide the future of what a couple of years ago was one of the most ambitious, if slightly utopian projects in the global renewables industry.
"I expect that a small entity will continue, with only a few shareholders," the DII insider said, adding that German utility RWE wants to continue as a shareholder, and so do Saudi Arabia's Acwa Power and China's State Grid.
