The CSP project includes some 9.3 hours of thermal energy-storage,allowing it to meet peak demand. ACWA says the project has the largest thermalstorage system ever built for a CSP scheme of its size.
Bokpoort was the only CSP project chosen among 19 winning bids in thesecond round of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme.
