Germany’s designated new economics and climate minister, Green Party co-leader Robert Habeck, has chosen a team of heavyweight renewable energy sector experts and former investors as new state secretaries, spearheaded by Patrick Graichen who led the influential Agora Energiewende think-tank for the past seven years.

Habeck is set to become the head of the new so-called ‘super-ministry’, as well as vice-chancellor, after Social Democrat (SPD) Olaf Scholz is elected the country’s new Chancellor in parliament next week.
