The Danish company has contracted Geosea for the transportation and installation of the project’s 91 monopile foundations. This follows the successful installation by Geosea at Dong’s German wind farms Gode Wind 1 and 2.
On Race Bank Geosea has awarded a contract to FoundOcean, and its partner BASF, to connect the monopiles and transition pieces.
Dong says it has hired eight local technicians to help install the foundations for the offshore wind farm which will comprise 91 Siemens 6MW turbines each standing 177 metres tall.
