Construction of the $180m Sidrap project is scheduled to begin in late 2015 with an expected completion date in mid-2017. It will use twenty-eight 2.5MW wind turbines and once completed will be the largest wind project in Indonesia.
The Sidrap project is part of the Indonesian government’s plan to install some 35GW of new electricity generating capacity in the country by 2019.
