The company said contract negotiations with asphalt giant Oldcastle Materials and food and agricultural company Perdue Farms began after demonstration burns of the renewables fuels were completed in February.
The tests were carried out separately at both companies’ facilities.
Specifically, XcelPlus said Oldcastle Materials is in talks to use GlyClene – a biodiesel glycerine by-product -- and GlyCoal – a renewable fuel supplement.
