Venezuela is aiming for a 10% national blend of ethanol in gasoline. Dedini’s four plants, each with an installed capacity of 700,000 litres per day, will be the first of a group of 11.
The Brazilian company, which sold a 25,000-litre pilot ethanol plant to PDVSA in 2008, will ship the remaining components over the coming months, and the four plants should come on line by the end of this year.
Dedini is also vying to provide the remaining seven plants.
