Eight million litres were sold at two biodiesel auctions held by the national petroleum agency (ANP) in August, the company says..
The two biodiesel refineries, in the cities of Quixadá, Ceará, and Candeias, Bahia, are the first for Petrobras. Each produced 4.4 million litres in three months of operation.
A third biodiesel refinery should start production this month. The three refineries will have the capacity to produce 170 million litres of biodiesel per year.
