The other 80% of funding for the bioenergy project, about R$2bn, will come from Cosan. The company already has an installed capacity of 800 megawatts (MW) of bioenergy - which is expected to jump by a further 400MW with this latest investment. Cosan, which recently announced a deal to acquire Nova América's four ethanol mills, now has a total of 23 ethanol mills, 11 of which can produce bioenergy.
