Plant construction will begin this summer with production capacity targeted at 450,000 metric tons a year. The plant will employ up to 100 people and also create 273 new indirect jobs.
“Point Bio Energy’s facility will produce a value-added, environmentally friendly product,” says Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. “This announcement is an excellent example of a traditional Louisiana industry showing an ability to adapt and remain competitive in today’s marketplace.”
