As the US increases its emphasis on renewable-energy jobs, we would be wise to heed the lesson of Germany. After investing substantially in wind and solar technologies, Germany actually created more jobs using biomass.
According to a recent study, Germany created 75,000 jobs in solar photovoltaic; 84,000 in wind; and 96,000 in biomass by focusing on the highest-efficiency uses of the fuel.
