Mission's plantations are set to grow by 57% in 2009, and will encompass more than 550,000 acres. By 2011, the company intends to have more than one million acres planted, making it one of the world's largest jatropha producers.
Jatropha firm nets profits
A windfall of carbon emission-reduction credits (CERs) and expanded biofuel production blew Australian biofuels maker Mission NewEnergy to its first-ever profit in 2008.
