The biodiesel refinery, with 105 million-gallon-a-year capacity, is the largest in the US. It uses vegetable oil and low-grade animal fats as feedstocks.
There were no injuries sustained by GreenHunter personnel or firefighters during the incident.
An initial investigation showed the fire started Saturday and was caused by a mechanical seal failure on a circulation pump associated with a process heating unit.
