Once up and running, the bio-refinery will use 2,625 dry tonnes of wood to produce just under 10 million gallons (38 million litres) of ethanol per year. It will eventually have a capacity of 100 million gallons.
Georgia refinery would turn forestry waste into ethanol
Mobile Colorado-based Range Fuels says it is moving ahead with plans to build a plant in Georgia's vast timberlands that will be able to turn forestry waste into energy.
