In the oxyfuel combustion process, fuel is combusted with pure oxygen diluted with re- circulated flue gas instead of air. After cleaning, the flue gas consists mainly of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and water vapour. When the water vapour is removed, the CO 2 is ready to be pressurised, transported and stored.
