All gasoline sold in Brazil includes a mandatory 25% blend of ethanol. The figures consider that percentage as part of total ethanol sales.
Ethanol-only sales add up to 11.8bn litres (3.1bn gallons), compared to 22.6bn litres (5.97bn gallons) of blended gasoline.
