“Yes some jobs are going from alternative energy as they are around the group,” a BP official tells Recharge.
“We have said that 3,000 jobs were cut by the end of 2008 and another 2,000 will be cut this year, but these are around the world and some will be in upstream, some in downstream and some in alternative.”
He adds that BP cannot provide a breakdown of where job cuts are being made.
