One advantage of biomass fuels over solar and windpower is they are easily stored - whether in bins, tanks or silos - so they can be used on demand. In some countries biomass has come under fire for its impact on agricultural land use. In particular, ethanol produced from corn and sugar has been blamed for rising food prices.
