The project is similar to one the company wants to build in Fair Haven in western Vermont.
According to Beaver Wood officials, the plant’s size would be about a quarter of the former racetrack grandstand. The main boiler building would have a height of 110 feet (33.5 meters), with a stack reaching 180-230 feet (54.8-70.1 meters) from the base.
Both plants would utilize wood waste from logging and forest residues from a 50 mile (80km).
