E.ON produces biogas at eight plants in southern Sweden, with a production capacity of 150 gigawatt hours (GWh) per year. Five projects with an annual capacity of 1.36T Wh are under construction or are being planned, while E.ON is considering a further 10 sites around Sweden.
Biogas 'the best alternative route' to cleaner transport
German energy giant E.ON has just opened a filling station for biogas at Ullared, south of Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast. It aims to cover most of the populous southern parts of Sweden with biogas pumps.
