Commissioning, which will be done in stages, will include testing emissions levels during fuel burns to meet standards set by the the state watchdog agency, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Once the plant, near Lufkin, east Texas, comes fully on line in June, president Danny Vines predicts that it will generate the cleanest burning biomass power in the US. It will use a blend of logging debris and wood waste from nearby sawmills.
